Teaching crisis #16374:

There are very few things in the whole wide world that I find less interesting to talk about than education. Uh oh.

I went to a "literacy team" meeting today and I wanted to poke my own eyes out. I am uninterested in the statistics for literacy and, to be totally honest, literacy in general. I mean, I wish everyone could read. I know that it is important. But it just doesn't yank at my heart strings or intellect in any way.

Oh, thank god it is Friday. Today I told someone I was not a Christian (she asked me outright) and she totally and completely sneered at me as though I had passed gas. That was a first. ¶ 2:02 PM
